Get in contact with your local "Public Human Resources."

I just got a copy of mine the other day. A copy from any local PHR should do you just fine unless it has to do with confirming passports-- then you must go to the PHR usually in the Capitol city of NJ.

If your PHR doesn't issue birth/ death certificates, than contact: either

1) NEW JERSEY VITAL RECORDS
PO BOX 370 S. WARREN & MARKET ST.
ROOM# 504
TRENTON , NJ 08625
General: 877.622.7549
Information: 877.622.7549
Fax: 877.553.2194

or go to their webpage (which will take much longer to get ahold of one cus of mail).

There should be a state of New Jersey website you can go to. It should have links to order a copy of your birth certificate.

You should be able to request a copy from a State government office. Here in Canada, you just talk to the local provincial government branch. Dunno if it works likewise in the US though.
