well,it kinda half dozen of one six of the other they both have there ups and downs and really depends on what type of performance your looking for.
fuel injection-(good) fuel milage,very consistant,runs the same everyday,no engine tuning required(or very little)-(bad)acceleration lag"no crisp throttle response"
carb-(good)crisp throttle response, when tuned right very consistant, different sound through exhaust,
(bad)constant engine tuning with weather"especially if using a holley carb"but holley's are the best carb i have ever run

Especially direct fuel injection is vastly superior. By direct I mean not just into the manifold the way a lot of American cars have had it for a long time, but directly into the cylinder.
This is also the way the newer diesels have it, which makes for a much smoother and more powerful running engine.
The direct injection allows for much more accurate delivery of fuel into the cylinders.
Carburetors are cheaper but not nearly as efficient.

Fuel injection is much more efficient. Carburetors are mainly installed on race cars.

People like carburettors for notalgia; they are not that easy to work on (in my opinion). They're complex and tough to fix sometimes. Fuel injection is more reliable and simple to work on, but can get expensive as there are more parts that could fail and they're more money apiece when they do break. I've never had to relace a fuel injector in my life, but I've had more problems with carbs overflowing, and just not working at all. I

Every car now has E.F.I. for smog purposes and carbs die in altitude because of thin air however carbs can be adjusted to run in any situation if you know what your doing. So one is not better then the other.

It must be, I know of no automakers who are still using carbureators over fuel injection.
