Brush your teeth immediately after you eat anything. This may deter you from wanting to put food in your mouth "since I've just brushed my teeth." Chew gum. Have a bottle to water in your hands at all times. Water gives you a full tummy with no calories. Eat a sliced tomato with cottage cheese. This is filling and won't add many calories. Brush your teeth after eating the tomatoes and cottage cheese. Smile. Another trick is to say to yourself, I won't eat that until after I fold those clothes (put away the clean dishes, etc.) Then come up with something else you need to do before you are going to eat "that." You can sometimes put off eating for quite a while. Soon it will be meal time and you've gone for hours without eating. Be sure to eat a lite snack between meals (then brush your teeth) so you won't be too hungry when you sit down for a meal. Good luck. This, too, shall pass.

I was the same way, and it is still non stop eating at 16 weeks! Don't try to control it, your pregnant and your body knows what it needs.Just be sure that you are getting your vitamins and nutrients through your food. If not try prenatal vitamins. I found though, that eating according to "pregnancy diet" will help you curb those cravings to eat.

Eat a lot of veggies and fruit and stay away form the junk food. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. The water may help curb your appetite and your baby needs it to to stay hydrated. You do not want to put on a lot of extra pounds you can not take off later.

Well, I am going to ask you first if you are getting enough water. Sometimes the human body craves food when it is really thirst and then takes the water out of the food. I suggest that you have a glass of water before you eat and then have a glass while you are eating. This will fill your tummy making so you aren't as hungry and it is good for the baby.

Funny how that happens. When I was pregnant with twins I was starving all the time. All I can tell you is......do NOT pig out on food. Read up on what it takes calorie wise while pregnant and eat healty. You will regret it if you put on too many pounds too fast and then end up with all this extra fat after the baby is born. Listen to what your ob/gyn tells you. Take good care and good luck!

If you where very thin your baby might need (surprise!) fat! That's right good old animal fat. It's necessary for brain developement. Your cravings will give you direction in what sorts of nutrients your body is craving. Pickles? You may need salt. Beef? You need protein, fat, iron, etc! Hope this helps!
If you deny one craving and replace it with another food, you may have to compensate by eating too much!

You shouldn't! Your body just craves what it thinks it needs. As long as you're not caving anything unhealthy like laundry detergant than go ahead and feed that craving and be glad you can keep food down at this point in the pregnancy.
