Hamsters can have small bits of cheese as an occasional treat, especially for pregnant or nursing mothers, for the calcium. I stress occasionally because cheese can be high in sodium, which is not good for the hamster. Only give a very, very tiny piece of cheese because too big and it can get stuck in their cheek pouches and cause infections.

If you're referring to Golden Sabre Tooth hamsters, absolutely. In their native environment these hamsters eat wild cheese all the time. But they don't react well to "Artificial Cheese Food" products.

If you're talking about a syrian hamster, then yes, but in small amounts. Just every few days or so as a treat.

I wouldn't suggest it. They are probably lactose intolerant, and anyways, cheese is nothing like what they would eat in the wild and is probably too fattening.
