I think since you guys are sisters, there could have been some kind of object or name you used too call each other, something you have in common. I do not think that you should leave the idea all up to her, because then it would only be her idea, and not both of you working on the idea of getting one. I think that you should not get a tattoo if you are stressed out about it, just take some time to think about it completely, because you do not want to regret the design later.

Have you guys gone on a trip togehter? Think about going somewhere you both want to and getting the tattoo there, so it will have a story with it. If you go to The caribbean, a palm tree. If you go to paris, the effil tower. If you cant afford to go anywhere, where you live or were born would have something. Forexample, I was born in Nashville tn, so a guitar would be good. Hope everything goes good. Oh, and one more thing...if you both love an actor or a movie, use that. Like in that one movie...I cant remember the name with ashton kuctcher. Dude! Sweet! Try anything

well i am a tattoo designer and i can tel you that unless it is something you really want , it is better if it is sentimental, then you might start to regret getting it. i have seen it to many times .... plus getting it on the top of the foot is not the best place , you have to worry about it fading ( really bad) and it hurts BAD if you are really wanting it there then just make sure it is something that you want ..... why ot get something that reminds you of your sister.... a memory or a symbol that reminds you of something you 2 did or share or something that reminds you of her personality .... something just the 2 of you share ... just a thought

Be patient-- its something that you will have for the rest of your lives, so don't rush and pick something that you will regret later. Talk with her-- is there something meaningful between the two of you that you could share? You probably want it to be something that when you look at it you are reminded of the special relationship that you have with her. I waited two years after I came up with my design before actually getting it-- I wanted to be sure it was something that I wanted, and 2 years later I still did. Glad I got it too. Please don't just pick a lame design off the wall-- make up something special for the two of you. You will be glad that you did.

Get an Ambigram Tattoo... One that has your name on it when you read it, but if you flip it, it reads your sister's name... vice versa

I think that those ankle bracelet tattoos are cute (curvy and beaded). You could put those half heart thingys on them or any of your ideas will work! Hebrew is neat to look at, and nobody knows what it means! That ambigram idea is the coolest! Get your name and her name together!

Why would you want some generic star/tribal/japanese crap on your body? Get a tatoo that is specific to you that would b extremely unlikely to be on anyone else! Make up your own tatoo! Get a characteture (?) of you and your sister.

See if you can find a mythological symbol for sisters... Maybe look into the Pleiades or some other mythological sisters, and use their symbol to symbolize your own sisterhood.
