I refuse to see World Trade Center because I believe it is just a lame attempt by Hollywood to capitalize off a tragedy.
I think the fact that Talladega, Step Up, The Descent and John Tucker Must Die all beat Little Miss Sunshine is the really sad fact.

Not really. "United 93" was a masterpiece - sensitive, stirring, and disturbing. Some people are ready for movies on the subject, and some people aren't. That's the nature of movies about events that are still raw.

Yup! I think everybody is kind of tired of hearing about 9/11.
Everybody knows it was great tragedy and that many great heros died that day, but arent there already like 3 movies dealing with 9/11 already?

I saw the buildings fall, it wasn't that long ago, I don't need to see a movie about it.

I think if it says anything about our society, it says that we all saw it, it still feels raw, and we don't want to see it again.

People would rather laugh then cry. And maybe 5 years is still too soon to remember that day in such a way.

Yeah, we use movie to get away from our own lives. Why would we want to go watch a movie about our friends and family members being killed?

its too soon.

That's good, WTC is just a way for people to make money off of one of the worse tragedies of our time, it's stupid and i refuse to see it.

Not really, other than people's personal preferences. I have no problem with it not necessarily being a blockbuster, even if I plan to see it.
