Tell you friends and family what is going on. Talk to your boss as well. You need to talk to the police also and make sure that they know how frightened you are. They need to know that the customer who was arrested is trying to get to you through his friends and family and ex. You need to protect yourself first, and worry about your job later. Your boss may have you stay home for a few days, until all of this cools down a bit. I don't believe that I could be calmly going to work in the place where I had been threatened. You should speak to the human relations department at work, and see if they can arrange some counseling for you. This man will most likely be going to trial in the future for what he has done, and the lawyers and court may need your input; and you will need to be calm and collected in order to be of most value to the court. Please become very selfish here. If you do have to go to work, ask for a police escort both to and from the job. You would be perfectly within your rights to take some time off, if your boss does not offer you the time. You may also want to contact a lawyer, and get his/her opinion on all of this. Best of luck to you.

I am a forensic/clinical psychiatrist. Have 30 plus years experience world wide dealing with the criminal insane and clinical psychiatry.

Past experienced has shown that obtaining a restraining order from the court against these people to stay within "x" amounts of miles away from your home, work and don't call you, does nothing really to protect your life. (Sad, as it is only a piece of paper).

My suggestion is that you go to the police station who made the arrest an advise them that you need police protection for the reasons stated above.

Tell them that you fear for your life. And that you don't want to loose our life over one arrest and an entire family that sounds psychotic.

I really don't want to scare you any more then you are already.

Would not recommend that you obtain a pistol permit, because I know many people who had their weapon taken away from them by the person who was trying to harm them and their own weapon was used to take their life.

The person that was arrested sounds like a real psychotic person and that makes him very dangerous, especially if he makes bail.

In my own heart and soul I almost feel that you should pack up your bags and move out of the state with relatives if you have and start your life all over again. (This is like being in the Federal Witness Protection Program). You can never make contact with family or friends again, because the person who threatened to kill you will for sure find out where you are by word of mouth.

All I can do from where I am in a foreign country is to pray for you.

God bless you and watch over you.

You need to get a restraining order on these people. Call your local Police & tell them about the phone calls & threats. His friends & family will be in violation if they attempt to contact you on his behalf & you can have them arrested also. Usually, the Police will explain this to the family & if they are smart, they will stop bothering you. If they don't, the restraining order will get them arrested too! You may need to have your phone tapped/traced to catch them calling you. If these people come to your place of employment, call the Police immediately. This will actually make it easier to prove your case against this man if his family does something as stupid as coming to your job. Good luck. Notify everyone at work to be on alert!

Tell the police and your employer about your concerns. It may be possible to have them contact the customer's friends, family and ex to let them know they can be arrested for harassment. If they won't do it, you should. A protective court order may help.

Contact whoever is in charge of this persons case and explain all this to them and that they are scaring you. They can better tell you what to do. Maybe they could even issue a restraining order or something.

Talk to your boss about your feelings. See if there is something that you can do with your schedule. Also contact police and attorney about your rights. Just be EXTRA careful whatever you do.

Tell your boss what you posted here. Tell the police or ask your boss to. Tell your fam and friends what is going on. You need support and also you will need witnesses. This is the way to get them.

Well' you can tell your Boss he probably won't or can't do much. You can tell the police they probably won't or can't do much. Seriously about the only thing you can do is find a new job where they can't find you and will eventually give up and go on.
