if charges were dropped dont they just release you.some friend of mine said her son went to jail and he had someone pay 1,200 to get out but told his mom the charges were dropped that does not seem right.i told her to call the courts on monday.

their was no fine as far as i know. he was pick up for intent to sell weed.

If you got to jail and then the charges r dropped you get out.you don't have to pay ANYTHING,but you have to go to court to get the charges dropped.most likely your friends son payed a fine to get out or he paid a bond to get out.

I am ashamed to say I have a brother like this. He has been "accused" of many things. But he always says that they dropped the charges for one reason or another. He also has claimed that they didn't have any evidence or justification. Yet somehow he always ends up in jail for periods of time, has probation time, bail money, and fines. I think he's full of crap. Thats just my opinion.

The charges were dropped as he paid the fine.
