yes, I had one. We talked on the phone a lot and sent a lot of emails and also chatted on messengers. We also sent each other presents and cards. Tried to see each other as often as was possible. However, I probably wouldn't do the long distance thing again. At least not if I didn't know for sure that I could be with him physically in the near future. And I don't mean for just a couple or a few weeks.

I have tried it with a girl from Thailand and with a girl from Bulgaria and with a girl in the next state. I still talk to them even after 9 years. We are great friends and if we was to get together I am sure we would have a great time. But it don't normally work unless one or the other are willing to go to the other one. Normally it ends up that you have a great job and own your home and they are the same way. So neither make a move. Too bad because these women was hot..

No I never had one. However i think it is very possible to persue one if you have what it takes and you are true to the relationship. I think we are already bounded by age, language barriers and in some instances racial and ethnic differences. SO I for one if i come across someone online or i meet someone locally that needs to go far away and i we think that we are so right for each other, I will definitely commit because a strong connection like that is worth holding onto. In addition, i think its best to let things flow as well...keep in touch and in love with the person but don't close yourself out to your immediate environment, in other words don't be too extreme in your commitment.

Yes I have had a LDR, you have to develop a strong than ever trust and bond that one can break. YOu have to develop a communication that keeps you interested. It an easily be broken. To keep it stronger, you have to create an ability to be missed to get that person to think about u and vice versa. If you guys talkk everyday, you can run out of things to say and the relationship will be boring. You just have to be missed that all. But trust is the main issue

I was lucky, we just started dating dating. I met her in austin( her home) and i lived 100 miles away.I think the only reason we split up is cause i was a fool,i was 21 and she was 28 at the time. I still talk to her too.now im 26 and she's 33, but we are still good friends. I am not sure how it will work for you,but we dated for 9 months to a year.

If you are really in love it is not difficult to keep it going while you are apart. Love and grown-up feelings thrive on being apart. When you are apart you have to work hard on your relationship to keep it working. But it takes two to tango here, it really does. If one of you is so immature to think that you have to be together all the time, it won't work.
Being apart and together at the same time really demands creativity and openness.

it never works out....either one of the two partner will cheat if its a LONG time..if its a few months apart..then it could work......try phone sex during the night.. in your bed with him onthe phone..and use a "toy" while having phone sex. Now if its going to be like a year or so apart..i would just end it right then and there until he gets back... otherwise it isnt going to work out...never have and never will see it workout.

Yes, I had a ld relationship for about a year. We talked on the phone constantly, talked online, sent pictures, and little packages to eachother. Then we finally came to the point where we decided one of us needed to move closer in order for things to work and thats what we did.
