Yes, I asked the same question but it turned out that the fellow users here took me the wrong way thinking I wasn't a football fan. I certainly am wondering when this catagory will be removed. Even the Olympic catagory isn't specifically addressing to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino.
There should be a yahoo catagory where we can ask when the FIFA World Cup catagory will be removed, and actually receive a real, proper answer.

when the next world cup comes, they will remove this category and replace it with FIFA world cup 2010

No, because people are still active in asking and answering questions in this category. There are still plenty of topics discussed, and many others available for discussion.
