Regular Routine Out patient testing should be back within one week and your doctor should give you a call to let you know whether you are negative or positive. They have to contact you directly and cannot leave it as a message on your machine.
You should have repeat tesing done at 6 months at least if not yearly. Sometime it may take up to fifteen years for the virus to build up to detectable levels. It also is polite to keep track of the names of your partners if you should turn up positive so you can contact them and inform them that you are positive and that they should get tested.
P.S. Don't pay any attention to the sexist biggoted pigs who posted. The are stupid ignorant freaks.

They should have told you when to expect a result on your test. Call them on Monday and ask when the result will be in. Also, ask if they will call you for a negative result. Only the office that did the test can answer your question.
I got my HIV test results from my primary care doctor in about 1 week. Some places take longer to process the test. Other places can do the test on site and have the result back with in a day.

Usually it take a week, but considering the circumstances, you can call and ask. Is that the only test you had? I would suggest if that is it, you may want to just do a series that includes all STD's just to be safe.
I'm really sorry you were raped. I hope you are getting some counseling at a clinic to help with the emotional side of it. God bless.

Onehanginglo is just being a punk, don't believe it for a minute.
As far as your results go, I don't know if you had them done at the Health Department or at your DR's office or at a hospital, so I cannot answer that for you. I've had them done for work, before I got married, before I immigrated and after my partner cheated on me. The one my Doctor did they called me and told me it was negative, the Health Department gives you a number and you have to come back with the paper that has the number on it(it's anonymous) and check on it yourself, they won't/can't call either way and the one I had done after an exposure incident they would've called me if it was positive, but not if it was negative, so I'm sorry, but you'll have to call the place where you had it done.
I'm sorry you had to go through all this. Hope you'll be alright.

I a sorry to hear about your situation! Usually blood work takes approx. 5 days. Your doctor or hospital should call you to come in for an appt. to talk about your blood work no matter what the results.
Have you thought about counseling. It might be something you might want to look into. My daughter was raped when she was 13 and is now 16. She still has nightmares. But counseling has helped alot.
Take care and you will be in my prayers!

I would think the best way to find out would be to contact the doctor or clinic involved, and find out what their policy is. Good luck.
Try to ignore the vicious answers to your question. It never ceases to amaze me how thoughtless some people can be. If we both try to pray for them, maybe they can discover their humanity.
