It's the sun, not heat, that tans you. You only need 10-20 minutes in the sun a day for vitamin-D... during which you should be wearing sun screen. The average person stays outside longer than that, so just make sure you load on the sun screen to prevent further tanning/sun burn... and skin cancer. Eventually your skin will become lighter again (tans obviously aren't permanent), but there's no immediate way to "UN-tan." :)

Stay out of the sun and when you have to go into the sun then make sure you cake on sunscreen. Other than that you can only untan so much and it is going to take some time.

there's no quick fix for this.
stay out of the sun,
wear clothes that block UV rays,
wear 45+ or higher sunscreen.

use the cream made for reducing freckel's and age spots.
I forget the creams name and its expensive.
lemon juice is also supposed to help.
