Have you looked @ other MP3 players? I have a RCA Lyra. Its rugged, expandable, and I think is better than an Ipod. I have dropped it several times. Only runs on a AAA, replacing Ipod batteries gets tricky. Not saying you have to get the same thing, just suggesting you research more.

1. it depends what kind of ipod you get.
2. it's 99 cents per song. i buy ipod music cards at Target. they sell iTunes music cards there. that's the only place i know of.
3. when you recieve your ipod, it will come with software you have to install. and then you'll be able to shop for the songs you want.

you can also add your OWN songs on there from your CD's. Once you have the software installed and ready to go, Just copy your CD (if you wish) on the computer, and save it in your Library on iTunes. Adding songs to your ipod from your CD is free. just buying the songs on iTunes costs money.
Most of the songs on ipod are from CD's that i have.
enjoy your ipod!

The cost depends on the one you get. I have a 30G video iPod, and it cost around $300. I use Limewire to download music. It goes right into my iTunes. If you don't already have iTunes, a disk will come with your iPod. Limewire is free.

I have a 2GB ipod nano and its great. Got some good discount and it cost me £118. You can upload all of your (and anyone elses!) CD's onto your computer and onto your ipod for free. Then you can choose to buy music from Itunes, its about 79p per single?

1. About $150 for one that holds about 250 songs.
About $200 for one that holds about 500 songs.
About $250 for one that holds about 1,000 songs.
About $300 for one that holds about 7,500 songs.

2. You have to pay 99¢ for every song. And, for free, you can just copy music from your own CD's into iTunes and put it on the iPod.

Are you sure you wouldn't like to look at other brands of MP3 players?
