RELAX.
All babies do come out.

Your plug can regrow itself if you don't go into labor w/in about 48 hours of losing it.

PLEASE don't do castor oil. It will give you the runs and make you even more uncomfortable. And it might NOT bring on labor. If it give YOU the runs, it can do the same to baby. It can make your little one have his first BM in the womb, which can be dangerous if aspirated.

I don't understand about the abruption? If you've had a placental abruption, why aren't you in the hospital? Was it a partial abruption? Are you bleeding? Placental aburption is when the placenta pulls away from the wall of your uterus. You could bleed to death! If you've had an abruption, you should be in the hospital!

I agree with the person who said if it is placenta previa, DO NOT TRY TO INDUCE LABOR AT HOME. This could be very dangerous to you and baby. Placenta previa requires a c/s.

What is bajaing?

I spent 3 weeks at 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. I don't even think you would need to be induced because you're pretty close. You should ask your doctor if you can schedule a time to be admitted into the hospital and have your water broken. That's what I did and 3 hours later there was a baby. Don't let the medical people push you around. Say what you want and be confident.

do you mean placenta previa?

If so, DO NOT TRY INDUCING LABOR!
Placenta previa is where the placenta is in front of the baby and a C section is needed to get the baby out, otherwise it will interrupt the flow of blood to the baby, this can cause brain damage and possibly death.

Do not drink castor oil, this will cause you to have the runs, and it will travel into the babys system causeing merconium in the water.

If you have suffered a placenta previa do not induce labor, go immediatly to a differant OB/GYN and they can and will perform a C section IF IT IS SAFE.

Now Do Not Laugh.....mow the yard or take a ride in the car down a bumpy road. First suggestion worked with first child and Second suggestion worked with second.

Hun it sounds like you need to talk to another Dr. about inducing you right away. The longer you wait the dryer your birth will be..... and that hurts like hell, way worse than what you should have to go through during child birth. Good luck.

"placenta abruptio"?!?!
And you are out doing what?!?!
Castor Oil is NOT a way to induce labor. It is only a way to make yourself more miserable.
Are you in the US? What kind of Doctor do you have?!?!
I suggest the ER. Now, not later.

oh yeah, and another thing is imagining that you are opening up like a flower opens, say ''I am opening up for the baby to come out easily" and in the book they even suggest smooching your man (if around) when the contractions are getting strong.
