These are some good ones...have to many faves to narrow down to just 7 but will give you 7 good ones.
The Outsiders - because it has such a meaningful message and it was the start of so many great careers
Murder in the First - Amazing true story that never got the credit it deserved
To Wong Foo .... Newmar - cause it is so funny
Italian Job ... It has everything - action, romance, mystery, comedy ... just a good movie
The Brothers Grimm - i normally dislike fantasy type movies like this but it was very well made with great acting and so many WOW i didn't know that moments
Best in Show - if you like mockumentaries it is hilarious. it's a comedy that is made to look like a documentray about dog shows... VERY good
Find Me Guilty - i had never heard of it and actually just rented it last night. It's with Vin Diesel (sp?) and it's a true story. Totally different role for him and it was a damn good movie.

So many more. i always tell people - just because it wasn't a blockbuster doesn't mean it wasn't a great movie. Although some of the ones i named above are major hits, not all were and they are all great movies.
Also some good lesser known movies are:
The Mighty Wind - Same people as in Bet in Show - different characters
Lake Placid - can't remember if this was a big hit or not - Bill Pullman and Oliver Platt - great sarcastic movie
Rundown - with the Rock. not sure that was a hit or not either but GREAT movie
Toy Soldiers - Sean Astin and Wil Weaton
The Glass House - Great suspence movie with Diane Lane
Primal Fear - Richard Gere - another great suspence movie

OK better stop now. Love movies so much i could go on forver.
Have fun watching.

1)The Women: a 1930's film with Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, an Rosalind Russel. Catfights galore, and there's a fashion show in the middle! Fabulous!
2)Gone with the Wind: It's just a classic
3)Dawn of the Dead: The original one and the nineties remake are tied. One is campy fun, the other is actually pretty scary. I love zombies!
4)Sixth Sense: I think this is the only horror movie made in the last ten years that actually scared me. That little girl who got killed by her mom is creepy!
5)The Usual Suspects: Kevin Spacey rocks, so does the surprise ending
6)Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: Drag Queens in Oscar award winning costumes. What more do I need to say?
7)OK, I admit to not knowing what this is called, but I saw a tape of it once: it's an epic Kung Fu movie written and produced by Donnie Yen in China. Excellent Kung Fu, excellent story, this is one of the best things I've ever watched. Donnie Yen tries to gain his father's respect by teaming up with a secret Kung Fu master who happens to be Donnie Yen's father all along. I think it's "Red Shadow" or "Red Dragon" or something like that. I saw a bootleg tape of it a long time ago, so I don't quite remember the title, but WOW!
