The most inexpensive book isn't available online... go to your local library and read for FREE. They will search other libraries until they find what you need.

While there may books on it, in general you sit at a desk with a computer screen, When a phone call comes in ( that is recorded) you get the info ( the phone unless a cell) will tell you the address of the phone call.

As they tell you the problem, you will pull up the screen about thier problem and follow the script for that problem.

Normally it is a 911 dispatcher, so you will be calling out rescue, fire and police. Learning the prioity of calls, if you have two police officers in a section and 4 calls, someone has to wait.
