Some of my daughter's tight fitting T-shirts still have an underarm odor even after washing. I've tried the sprays and various laundry detergents, but some of them just still smell. And, yes, she wears an antiperspirant/deodorant. Any ideas?

Plain old baking soda removes most odors, including those of human origin. Rub some into the smelly part of these t-shirts and let them set overnight. (Try it out on an old one first; I've never had this discolor anything, but it's best to be sure.) Shake out the excess baking soda before washing. Arm&Hammer also makes a detergent that works well for removing odors as well as regular stains and such. My skin's sensitive, so I need to rinse the laundry twice when I use that brand, but other than that I like it quite well.

Approach. You can get it online at www.approachit.net

Spray it right on the shirts where you smell the odor (you can even add it to a rinse cycle to let the shirts soak in it)

It doesn't have any harsh chemicals and it'll take out any underarm odor there.

Some people just perspire harder or more. Deoderant helps but maybe she needs an antipersperant. Make sure it's a roll on not a spray.

Good luck!

Pour Vinegar on the underarm and then sprinkle alot of baking soda...let this set for awhile and wash....The vinegar will neutralize the Odor..Hanging in the sun for a a will also help this...Sun will lighten the shirts. The sun will kill the bacteria tho. Killing the bacteria is the only thing thats going to kill the odor

Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply to the underarm of the shirt, pour a small amount of vinegar on top of the paste, it will bubble up. Let it soak in for a few minutes and throw in the washer.

Try about a half cup of baking soda in the washer, along with your liquid laundry detergent.

How often does she bathe? Does she use soap?
Try to have better personal hygiene and the clothes wont get funky odors in them!
