My dishwasher is a GE Model model GSD1100QWW. My electrician says the power supply to the unit is fine. Any idea on why my dishwasher will not start

It could be a bad starter...you need to have someone check it out for you...

I would check and see if it hums. If it does then your motor is locked up. this is common for GE dishwashers. You can unjamb the motor by removing the front bottom panel, should be 4 screws make sure the unit is off keep the door open just a little. when you have the panel off you will see the motor take your hand and you will feel a gap on the side of the motor inside you will feel the blades try to spin those blades by hand it might feel like its held with a rubber band keep spinning it until you feel it break free. Then remove your hands and close the door and it should start running. Hope this helps.

Lock the handle.
Select the type of water.
Select the type\length of wash cycle.
Select type of dry cycle.
THEN push start.

And make sure your water is turned on.
