Wow, lot of stupid answers here. The question wasn't what you thought of the ride, it was "what kind of coaster is the top thrill dragster?"
Cedar Point claims Top Thrill Dragster to be a "Stratacoaster." Strata- has become the prefix used for roller coasters over 400 ft., although only two exist. As for the actual make and model of Top Thrill Dragster, it is an Intamin "Rocket Coaster," which is basically a bigger version of the Intamin "Accelerator" coaster. It involves a HYDRAULIC launch system (not LIM).

Top Thrill Dragster is considered a Stratacoaster (400-499 feet) and is one of only two in existance (Kingda Ka being the other).
TTD's brand is an accelerator coaster (AKA Rocket Coaster) from Intamin AG.

The Top Thrill Dragster is a strata coaster because it is over 400 feet tall. It also uses a hydraulic launch to get up the hill. It is a hydraulic launch strata coaster.

It is a StrataCoaster. And for what it's worth, it's not all that. If you go to Cedar Point, you should probably ride it (just to say that you did), but you'll probably be disappointed. It only lasts 17 seconds. And, you're going so fast, you can't even open your eyes until you get almost to the top. And, it's REALLY bumpy.
