I'm taking it that you are going to use these answers as tips for back-to-school or fall shopping (the time of year most people go on sprees, second to the winter holidays). So, here's my list - I can't name you a single favorite - but these stores and websites are definetly worth checking out.
CLOTHES
-www.delias.com (I like the funky, yet girly feel of the site. They sell dresses and skirts as well as suspenders and skate shoes. The clothes are good quality as are the shoes.)
-www.alloy.com (I like the shoes on this site and the screen tees and tanks and the swim collection. Their clothes are beachy and cute - but not the best of quality.)
-www.victoriassecret.com (Besides underwear and bras, this site is chock full of clothing. Jeans, skirts, suits, blouses, tees, tanks, camis, sweaters, jackets, leggings, dresses for all occassions and of course, belts, bags and SHOES! The shoes are great and not to mention quality. They also carry make-up and skin care products from big names and their own brands. This is one site you could LIVE off of for all your fashion and beauty needs.)
-Forever 21 (Cheap and Chic. This store is overflowing with clothing and accessories. Mostly a hit or miss - but you can walk away very happy sometimes.)
-Wet Seal (Also cheap and chic, but I like better for clothes, cute and up to date in fashion terms. Great prices.)
-Nordstrom, Macy's, Lord and Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue (Great department stores with basically everything and more. Make-up (Dior, Chanel, Clarins...), Shoes (Steve Madden, Nine West, Stuart Weitzman), Clothing (jeez, anything you could think of...). If you want less expenisive and more casual, go for MACY'S. SAKS is expensive and desinger. NORDSTOM has more juniors than LORD AND TAYLOR - both are expensive in some areas though. All fun places.).
-Be sure to check out local boutiques; GREAT BUYS THERE!
MAKE-UP
-Avon (Inexpensive and fun. Mark is geared towards juniors and had great products. Fun and worth it.)
-Revlon and Covergirl (Most drugstore brands, like these two, are really good for basic lipgloss, mascara and loose poweder. Not expensive and it lasts long.)
-Mary Kay (facial and hand products that are expensive but worth it. Make up is just average.)

For makeup, Sephora all the way... They only sell items that are related to cosmetics, and it's a huge store. They carry all the good brands, and then some! They also sell travel sizes, makeup bags, brushes, and perfume, as well as standard makeup.

For clothes, PacSun is great for casual summer clothes, especially on a tight budget. When I get a better job I'll start shopping at Barney's; I love their designs! And Saks is my fave for dresses. H&M is probably my all-around favourite, because they have great designs for all seasons, at a reasonable price.
