There are tons of commercially available wipes and such to clean laptop screens, so that's one way to go. Another way is to use the same products used to clean your eyeglasses, just don't use the spray - just the cloth.

DO NOT USE WINDEX!!!!!!
It is ammonia based and is caustic and you risk damaging or removing the surface on the screen. The wipe must be very soft or you risk scratching the screen. The wipes you buy at the office supply store are extremely soft and are infused with alcohol. They do clean the screen and it dries streak and water spot free.

I fix computers for a living. Put some rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and wipre the screen. It will come clean and there is no chance of liquid entering the unit.

DO NOT use Thinner, as suggested by the above answerer. Thinner will screw up your laptop screen & the brick you know better. I wonder, if people cant give any good answers, why do they feed all this trash.

A house brick is your best option, stand back 2 feet, aim and launch, never have to worry about cleaning it again
