It could be various reasons... First check the simple stuff, like make sure the Master and Wave volumes are not muted. Check that the speakers are actually connected to the sound card. Go into the Device Manager and see if there is a conflict or error with your sound card, and upgrade or reinstall the drivers for it.

if this is for a desktop and you have an aditional audio card (one comes standard with your motherboard) and the other is from a a pci card. try checking the sound options....make sure that the audio device is = to the one you have plug the speakers to.
--what you do is right on the speaker icon on the bottom right and choose properties...then go to audio and choose the one your speakers are connected (the first option should be your MB audio, the second one is for a pci card)
--also check the speaker settings (choose the right speaker sut up) (is in the same audio properties.
hope this helps...

Hmm not sure on that. Check the connection to the computer first. If it's connected, it may be your computer. Check the volume levels to see if it's muted or anything. If all else fails, you may have to call where you got your speakers or where you purchased your pc. They may have a recall or may be broken. You may try to restart your computer. If you've been listening to music REALLY loud a lot, you may have blown them and need to buy new ones. Hope this helped!

it isn't the audio gadget. That pc maximum in all likelihood does not have sound drivers put in or put in wisely. this means the pc isn't able to technique the sound for any set of audio gadget.
