What can you do with the plate # if the police won't do anything? It doesn't seem real appropriate to me that the police are not doing anything when a 16 yr old is with a 43 yr. old. That is the "age of consent" in some states. My honest suggestion, go to your city Mayor. It's that persons job to insure the city looks good. That means keeping sex offenders away from 16 yr. old girls! Also, you may not realize but the mayor often oversees police lieutenants and police chiefs. That is a direct line of order. If you suggest that you are REALLY concerned about your daughter to the police and maybe you should talk to the mayor to see if she/he can help you since there "just isn't much they can do" than they may try harder to help you!!! Get them off their butts! Once they realize that the mayor is their bosses boss they may be a bit more helpful. You get what I'm saying here? Stay strong and don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. If it was going to be public knowledge that a city didn't find a 16 yr. old girl when they had the capability of doing so they may be more apt to help you. There is a right thing and a wrong thing to do here so the right thing MUST get done. Good luck finding your daughter! I hope that her father or father figure is involved. All too often kids are just looking for ATTENTION! This sounds like a scream for help from your 16 yr. old. Protect your baby!

I would hire a private detective. Find out, maybe its not too expensive if you can already provide him with some basic info. which is ussually availabe through sex offender registy. If this guy is still on probation, try contacting his parole officer, maybe he/she is helpful and/or can put pressure on him to end this relationship. Good luck.
