It really depends what kind of website you want. For a basic website, the best site from my experience is http://members.freewebs.com/, where there's an easy, beginners tutorial. if you just want something your friends can check out try nexopia.com, where you can make your own page and you can add friends. xanga.com is also really popular, it's mostly a blogging website.

sbcglobal.net...........has free web space where you can create your own web site for Free..forgotten the link to it, just go to the HELP icon, and type in free web. Or something like that
