go to the post office and file a change of address. I Think you can also do it online at the postal depertment website, pay with credit card, and it changes your addy immediately. IT does it by screening for your old address, then forwarding your mail from your old addy to the new addy, for a specified amount of time, but you do still need to file a change of addy with places you regularly get mail from, so that when your postal change of addy runs out everyone still has your new addy... :)

Go to the Post Office and fill out a change of address card. I had to do this twice in order to get my mail changed.Go to the old Post Office that used to deliver your mail "They are the ones who are supposed to flag your mail for the change.

You go to your local post office and pick up the moving material packet. You fill out your change of address form. The packet includes coupons that will help you in your move (u-hual etc)
