Hi there - I was hoping to get an Israeli perspective on whats going on uin Lebannon. Alot of the media coverage in Europe whilst not anti Israeli is not necessarily very interested in helping one to understand the Israeli point of view. I studiied the formation of Israel as a 20th century state in Uni in Dublin so I guess I am an admirer since those days. The Irish media in particular is quite pro palestinian so I was looking for another perspective???

Let me tell you something pal the Israel wasn't asking for all this and they certainly did not start this it all started when Hezbollah kidnapped the two soldiers Israel is just trying to disarm Hezbollah so in another 5 years when Hezbollah gets stronger they wont attack Israel.And when you look at it the TV is showing all these images of Israelis attacking innocent people in Lebanon but what the people don't get is Hezbollah is using them as human shields.

You have to understand first that Israeli's are suffering from what is call "Siege Mentality." They believe that the world hates them.
What they do not understand is that all undisturbed original cultures believe that they are the "chosen ones". And do you want to know what the word "Jew" means? It means, "The People". Just like the word Latin means, The People!
What the citizens of Israel fail to understand is that they are no less or more real people than any other people. The fact is, that fear of being breed into extinction is a wide and real fear in the world, and has to do with human individuals not care about ethnicity or race when it comes to sex, love or children.
We all live in a melting Pot. And we all are being melted. If you build walls to save yourself from the unwashed, you will invite the wrath of every nut in the area. The nut will think, "How dare you say I can not marry your daughter!" What is wrong we me? This is fighting words!!

From my prospective Israeli refuse to acknowledge The Palestinian government because their known terrorist and refuse to pay millions in aid that they used to. In responce the Pally want the land they gave then sold to Israeli back. The children eating when not marrying pally decided it best to throw a little ordnance into the civilian areas of Israeli having not been brain washed enough for the full lets blow ourselves women children and all to bits club. Hey its all in the name of God and peace. Surly they must see that this senseless targeting of civilians must stop.(Please God) ex soldier thanks 4 the Q's. A little narrow minded
