almost 9 gigs - Unlike you, my Neil Diamond collection is a very small fraction of the total. I use my laptop as my portable mp3 player. I have speakers in different places in the house where I can plug in. I use Musicmatch as my juke box. It is outstanding.

Whenever I have people over or throw a party, I can set music to play for hours to match the mood, match the crowd, or just have random anything. Christmas music takes up a sizable chunk and we have it playing at the house 24/7 during the season. This technology is sooooooo much better than the vinyl record stacks we used when I was a kid, much better than the 8 track, etc.

Yeah, pretty much. I've got almost 18 gigs of music and 26 gigs of music videos. (No problem, I have a 200 gig hard drive.) It's hard to believe that there is that much good music out there - but there is.

From Ayreon, Shadow Gallery, Dream Theater and Royal Hunt - to Genesis w/ Gabriel, Yes, Rush and Zappa - to Satriani, Vai, Eric Johnson and Steve Hackett. My computer is a virtual encyclopedia of progressive music.

Currently 34GB, out of a HDD space of 40GB.

I suggest frequent housecleanings to archive your stuff on CD or DVD, otherwise you'll run into the problem I had one day - I didn't have sufficient HD space for my computer to operate Roxio Toast Titanium and burn a disc. I had to use my iPod to take the spillover, then re-transfer it back to the computer - very tedious : (

But screw that, I say...ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WoooHOOO!!!!!
