I personally don't... I do however believe that the black man is pushed down further by the typical hip-hop persona.
Whites have used every readily available excuse they could find to degrade the black man since the birth of our 'great nation.'
Every law, legislation, court ruling, and document created or enforced since 1800 has been made to specifically cater to the rich or the whites.

A few rappers have an extensive vocabulary and a way with words that would have made some of the early Motown guys look like retards in bell-bottoms. The problem is that Motown was more into helping correct the problems, whereas most hip-hop seems to be advocating the stereotypes that keep the black man down. The little respect that brothas had been granted in all the time they spent trying to get the recognition they'd been deserving was crushed by the emergence of gangsta rap.

I think white people hate it for a number of reasons. Like the fact that there's no banjo or steel guitar in it. But they also to an extent probably love it because it gives them an excuse to throw racial slurs and epithets at every brotha they see on the streets...

Beacuse a lot of poepl opnly listen to the commercial rap which is often about drugs, sex, violence and money, or they've heard all the rhetoric about "gangsta rap" and the violence. Many people dont take the time to get past the stereotype and actually listen to the lyrics of the more intelligent songs.

Depends on the rapper. Radio rap sucks. There's alot of really good underground hip hop that's some of the best stuff I've ever heard.

i like it kinda its straight it depends on what it is to me

but ill tell you why other ppl dont like cuz the rappers xploid women like talkin about sex with women and not really a family just to have sex with them and then leave them or like how they call women bitches hoes sluts dicksuckers anything they want to basically and women usually dont care as long as they fine and if they got money or if they have a big dick but really who cares about that is about personality common sense and how you respect a woman and her body not look at her behind while shes walkin bye and you dont even no her and you take her to your house and she has your baby and then you say your not the father and you leave her and stuff and all the profanity its not bad its just not what alot of ppl would really listen to

i think music carries a seductive charisma, but rap isnt entertaining to me, they rap about the same topics sex drugs violence, thats why i hate it

coz its rap, not melody, not music, no tone, and not requiring specific skills and ability to differentiate one sound to another. for god sake , use the trash bin, bang it and talk like **** then you will have rap.
