You basically answered your own question. However, my husband and I don't own a T.V. so I can speak from experience. We like to talk to each other, read, go to sporting events and church and community activities, talk to family and friends over the phone, surf the Internet, work outside, play with our dogs, play board games, and we also like to watch dvds on the computer. Life does not end just because you don't have a T.V. We've been without one for over two years now and I don't foresee us buying one in the near future. That's ok with me. I get my news from the Internet, newspaper, and Glenn Beck. I'm satisfied.

Sounds like you have it about covered. I don't watch tv either. I might have the news on in the background if I'm sitting here answering these questions, but otherwise, no tv for me. I'd rather read a book, do a crossword puzzle or sudko, or write, work on my webpage, walk around the neighborhood.

What do you think I've been doing?! Why live near some of the world's most magnificent volcanoes if you aren't going to climb them? Why live by the forests if you aren't going to explore them? I don't watch TV... it drives me nuts and so does this computer. But I like my computer because I can talk to friends I've made around the world without phone expenses. I despise pop culture! Narrow-minded, skimpy-skirt wearing little shites the lot of them!!!!

I completely agree, although there are times I certainly watch t.v. Mostly, though, I take my dog for a long walk, work in my garden, read, and volunteer at the aquarium where I meet a lot of people from lots of different places. go to the beach, and see friends. It's easier to fall into the t.v. "trap" during the colder months.

Hmm well I don't watch TV much but I do sit on the computer quite a bit as I'm sure the majority of you do :) Seems we've moved from watching one screen to watching another! When I'm not on the computer I read, or draw.

I live in the country so there is not much to do. I take walks, work in my flower beds, care for my 4 dogs, decorate my yard,(I love wind chimes and whirligigs), play with my grandchildren, do find-a-word puzzles, take care of my 90 year old mother, take care of my hubby, sew, do scrap booking, do a lot of info finding on travel in the US on the computer, and I do watch TV. I would love to have a casino close by, but here in Texas we have a lot of Baptist is who won't allow casino gambling. My husband has his own business and gets to stay home and help me. He watches a lot of TV, but reads a lot of Louis L'Amour westerns.

Haven't had T.V. for a year and never want it again. If I coulldn't think of anything else to do, well, I'd be better off dead.
By the way, what is spare time and where can I get some?

Some of its actually educational. And when you're a kid who can't drive and live in the middle of the country, and are like two miles from your closest neighbor, and don't have animals to take care of... you watch tv. i know, shocking, isn't it? yes we read, and yeah, we go out once in a blue moon, but other than that (cAmping gets boring), you watch tv. But, actually, i listen to music more than i watch tv.... not rap, or hip-hop... or whatever its called, i listen to rock and a little classical.

many times whilst i'm under pressure whilst doing artwork, the factor that distresses me maximum is getting artwork completed. you need to directly call her and tell her which you somewhat desire to dangle out whilst she is accomplished her artwork, yet i would not attempt to get her to return out and carry out a little interest. If I have been under pressure and replaced into attempting to get stuff completed, i don't think of i could desire to count quantity to 1000.
