The best thing to do with an 80 y/o who has absolutely no knowledge of the internet, is to get a good written article, give it to the person and let them read and absorb the information. Trying to explain this to any age would be difficult, unless they are truly interested and want the added knowledge.

Are you sure you want to put a person that age into the world of Internet scams...??? They make excellent targets for evil doers..If so you will have to have the patience of Job and go slowly step by step....

You might as well not even try.I have tried to explain it to my 82 year old grandmother and she just gets lost and confused then I would have to start over again.It's just not worth getting them that confused.
