I'm not sure if its worth it, but my mum wants to inquire about possibly getting some compensation for an accident i had whilst in hospital. just wondering if i could get some opinions

I'm 16, i was in hospital to get my tonsils out. The day of the operation about 7 hours after i got out of recovery i sat up to be sick, passed out onto one of those food tray/table things with wheels, it moved while i was passed out on it..then i fell out of bed, hit my head on the bed side table and ended up on the floor.
I got quite a shock from it, woke up bleeding and had no idea where i was..i had to get 7 stitches in my head.
what do you think?

Your lawyer should file a lawsuit as soon as possible. You are due to be compensated for the hospital's foolishness. Things could have been worst. You and any other patient could have been seriously injured to the point of death, but luckily you weren't. If the hospital knows that it will have to be responsible, then it will straighten up its act. If you let this slide, then the hospital will continue in its negligent ways. Read Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause) - It is long-winded but it is absolutely inspirational. Also read Psalm 4 for (Safety and Protection) which is most helpful. Know this always, "The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. - Peace and God Bless.

People like you are why medical malpractice is so high. I live in Madison County, Illinois. Doctors are leaving the county (and the state) in DROVES because of lawsuits like you are advocating. It was an accident- nobody was at fault.

Would it make you feel better? I mean come on. Suck it up and stop looking for a damn handout. People like your mother make me sick. I have to drive to MISSOURI to see a physician because there are so few left (especially specialists). My wife has to go to Missouri to see her OB/GYN as they pretty much don't do anything in Illinois anymore because of insurance reasons.

We have a severe crisis in out country and you have the audacity to suggest a lawsuit because of a CLEAR accident?

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your mother is right. If you were under the influence of anesthesia the rails on the side of your bed should have been put up by the nurse to prevent such an accident.

If you don't have any long lasting effects, I don't think you deserve any compensation. But it's really up to you and your mother to decide whether you want to be made rich by this or not.

In America you would have a very good law suit on your hands.
