Hi.
Here's a great article on about.com:
http://beauty.about.com/od/skinflaws/qt/footcreme.htm?terms=rough+feet
I recommend the following:
1. Start with filing the roughness down until your feet are tender
2. Soak your feet in warm water. Some people add conditioners to the water. Check with your local drug store.
3. Everday, and specially after showering, put lotion on your feet. Keep them oiled.
4. Avoid waking around without socks or slippers.
I hope this helps.

Ok yay...I'm a Nail Care Specialist so I could talk forever about this. What you need to do it get a real coarse foot file...the best one I know of is called 'Swedish Clover'. Use this 2-3 times a week when you get out the shower/bath; dry your feet of and start using the real coarse side on any calluses/dead/scalley skin you have until you've gotten rid of a decent amount. (Don't take too much off or you'll get sore.) Then use the smoother side (which is a little like a pumice stone) to smooth the skin out all over the foot inc. the tips of your toes. Then everynight before you go to bed your need to use a thick lotion or a heal therapy (anything that has lactic acid, urea or shea butter in it) all over your feet and if you can sleep in socks then xcellent if not no worries. You'll see a major diff. I promise!

The surest way to get rid of rough scaley feet is to stand on a railroad track while a train is coming. But be sure to stand with your feet facing toward the inside of the track and your back to the outside. Otherwise you'll lose more than scaley feet.

What you should do is use a pumice stone or foot file to file off all the rough skin that you can get to. Then soak your feet in a nice hot bath and scrub them with an exfoliating scrub. Dry them off and apply a thick ultra-moisturizing lotion or balm, then put socks on over the lotion/balm and leave them on overnight. Wash your feet off again in the morning et voila - smooth feet.
Do this once or twice a week and you'll be callous-free.

There are creams made for problems like this. However, I just rub a thin layer of Vaseline on the rough parts of my feet every night before I go to bed. It really helps to control the roughness and scaling. Give it a try.

Get a pumice stone, and after you take a bath, while your fee are still wet, rub your fee with it, then apply a foot lotion like Dr. Scholl's and put socks on. In about a week or two, they should be soft.

after taking a shower or bath, pat dry your feet and then use a body creme called "EUCERIN"-dry skin therapy, use each time you shower or bathe, make sure your feet are slightly moist when useing, this should do the trick! also, get yourself a pumice stone to loosen the dry skin and remove (sand) the dry skin off-no joke! they have these stones at most super stores and corner drug stores.I have the same problem, i took my dr.'s advice!

Getting bi-monthly pedicures helps alot, but you should also use the pumice stone in the shower daily, and moisturize nightly. Use a thick moisturizer, and wear socks.
