I have a story about where the word f*ck comes from. It's probably a complete pile of sh*t (sorry, dont know where that word came from), and the story goes a little something like this:
Back in the times of castles and Kings in England (circa 1200s<>) anyone who lived in the castle with the King, was obviously under the rule of the King. Thus, you couldnt do anything without the conesnt of the King, which included fornication (having sex). Additionally, as a way to make sure that he knew his authority was being abided by, you could only have sex in a single room in the castle, called the Fornication Under Consent of the King (the F.U.C.K room).
As we all know, the sexual desires of human beings are nigh on impossible to curb, without castration, so many-a-renegade couple would say to each other "Do you wanna go for a f*ck?" and thus the word was born and entered into the English language. The hussies.
Probably bullsh*t, but a great story nevertheless. Isnt it?...

Through negative social connotations.
Let's examine the term "hussy".
It originated as the (I believe, olde english) term "huswif" or "housewife" and over time became pejorative.
Same as calling something "lame"- which originally meant handicapped or impaired, which are also gaining negative connotatoins. It's just the nature of word evolution.
Words are arbitrary symbols and sounds representing things of importance or that need naming in a group or society. There must have been a need for these words.

They were originally the Anglo Saxon words for those functions and were in everyday use. After the Norman conquest of England the were replaced by latinized words by the Norman nobility and as the Normanized language became more popular they were considered "common" or :"vulgar"

an extremely deep question. In my subculture the swear words are consistently genitalia and copulation correct, and a few animals, and we consistently have self belief they have some thing do to with the way we seem at intercourse, and the psychology in the back of it is we predict of intercourse is sacrilegious; yet fact learn, how did they ended as much as have those meanings are no longer person-friendly for as much as date shoppers to confirm. In English is lots a similar way. possibly you are able to seek the muse of the words and see how they adjustments contained in the direction of the historic previous. Are you making plans on writing a thesis in this? possibly properly worth a PhD.
