It depends on how you define spirit, now doesn't it?
Some of the weirdos on my father's side of the family who are more into their Native American ancestry might well tell you "Well, duh, *everything* has a spirit, everything that exists in reality..."
But the spirit of something totally inaminate, like a rock, really doesn't hold much of relevance to us puny humans, now does it? :p
My humble take on it is this: Dolls exist in reality, so the potential for "spirit" is there. And they are in frequent contact with humans, who *do* have "spirit", in the sense of being conscious, aware beings. And many of these dolls are shaped like humans after a fashion and are used to *represent* humans when kids play with them--as is one of their proper roles in reality...
So yeah, I will go out on a limb here, just a hunch but yeah, dolls have spirit....we who own them, play with them, and pay attention to them *leave* a piece of our own spirit there with them to the extent that we *give* out focus and attention to them. We as spiritual beings (if you believe in such, granted), leave more than just physical fingerprints on the surface, as it were. It is like a condensed version of what happens to a *home* as you live in it...it becomes yours, in the sense that people can tell that it is *of you*, not just by seeing your belongings there, but by feeling an after-trace of your presence.
And that, as they say, is the short version. Email me for the longer one, because it isn't always appropriate to mention such things *here* online. It goes without saying that some folks take this "doll spirit" thing way more seriously than what you might think. ;)

years ago I got a set of tiny dolls,all dressed differently,in tiny box...maybe size of a matchbox.They are called "trouble"dolls.You tell them who is bothering you at night before you go to sleep...let the lid off the box and while you sleep,they will solve the problem/trouble
