A tattoo artist told me you release endorphines while getting a tattoo. Thats why people have multiple tattoos. Is this true?

I personally have a tattoo but didn't like the experience.I mean it didn't hurt that much but it still wasn't pleasant.And the sound it makes is just like the drill of a dentist.I want a second one cause I like the results and I like the fact that I can make myself a little different than others with a tattoo.I'm looking forward to having the tattoo,but I'm certainly not looking forward to the process of getting it...but others like it so I think it's personal for everybody.And it has to do with how much pain you can endure.

People get multiple tattoos because they like having tattoos, not because of an endorphin addiction. However, it does make it easier to go back and get another tattoo knowing that you'll get a little endorphin rush again. It's a nice feeling!

Yes. I have 3 tattoos at the moment, planning my 4th for September. Tattoos are very addicting and you do get a feeling like a high from it. Some like it and some don't. They are not painful at all either.

when u get a tatto, it will hurt the first couple of minutes... but after a lil while ur body produces its own "tranquilizer" so it wont hurt.. but that has nuffin to with y ppl get lots of tats. tatts is body art. ppl get it cus afta u get one u simply want more. its not addictive or anything like that.. theres no high involved

yea, makes it not hurt as much, but i dont think thats the reason ppl get more than one
