Young animals will be around during that time, however it is extremely hot then in Botswana and if you go to the national parks most of the animals rest in the shade during the day, so you will have to go out before sunrise or last hours before sunset to see much. Kenya's weather is better than Botswana's just then, but still the height of summer.
Spring is better. And even autumn/fall is great - you won't see tiny babies, but you will still see little ones (I guess one would call them the 'toddlers' by then).
Both countries are absolutely great for seeing animals. You should also consider Tanzania as well for wildlife, really unbelievable & worthwhile (Ngorongoro Crater & the magnificent Serengeti), the people are friendly and the roads are not bad.

The most young arwe borne around migration time. (Loads of food)
The Wilderbeast Mighrate Julyish so the the best time for Young to be bourne is around then. So ergo the best time to see Young is then onwards.
But it depends if you want to see Carinvore or Herbivore young.
Any time of pleanty is the best time to see young.
BUT ANY TIME IS A GOOD TIME TO GO TO KENYA

Think it would be too hot for them to wander around. Will be quite dry so the watering holes may be quite low and they may go further into the bush.
Best time is around October November or March April.
