I saw Hunter Tylo on television the other day for the first time in several years. I just about fainted when I saw the damage she has done to her appearance with plastic surgery! She went way beyond your run of the mill face lift. Hunter used to be one of the most beautiful women on television [in my opinion]. What do you think drives people [especially women] to alter their appearance in such "freakish" ways?

Well, she's not a celebrity like Joan Rivers and Michael Jackson are, but check out Jocelyn Wildenstein: http://www.awfulplasticsurgery.com/archives/000351.html

That's the scariest plastic surgery disaster I've ever seen.

I think that people get so obsessed with looking "perfect" that they lose all ability to see themselves objectively. While we might look at them and think that their face looks destroyed, all they can see when they look in the mirror is that their nose could use a little more refinement, and there's a wrinkle under their eye that needs to go away, and things like that. They're incapable of seeing the big picture. It's very sad.

Melanie Griffith, Vivica Fox. They both are starting to look sub-human.

I have had some surgery myself, breast job, lipo, botox, but I look natural, just better. And I am under 30.The key is just good maintenence every now and then, only do drastic things rarely. Everyone says I look great and no one knows I have had anything unless I tell them. I also workout like a fiend, eat right, and have a good social life (friends are important).

I don't think most who look like freaks aim to look that way-they just get addicted, it's sooo easy to not only because of our society's view on women aging, but because having surgery can actually be addictive.

The key is moderation-like anything else in life. There is nothing wrong with self-improvement and trying to maintain your looks, but when it's all you focus on and you are constantly having cosmetic procedures just to have them, you become addicted and start to look plastic.
