Yes-- I have seen a slow song performed quite a few times! The best that comes right to mind is when Paul McCartney did a tribute to his former Beatle band mate, George Harrison, who had recently passed. Paul told the story of how George would play the ukulele as a hobby which few people knew. Paul then produced a ukulele and by himself on stage- solo- he performed a version of George's huge hit "Something" on the ukulele. Very touching and genuine from the heart tribute from someone that had just lost a "family member". Brought tears to quite a few people.

well for one i dont usually see songs, i hear them. but a good somewhat slow song is I Dont Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. i like it because it is romantic and sentimental but it is rock and roll enough to not be too sappy.

How do you see a song?

Anyway, Symphony X has a lot of really good progressive ballads, I'd recommend them to any fan of progresive rock/metal.
