If parents want to protect their kids why dont all teach self defence from age 4?

So when they reach teenage you dont have to be so protective and can help them experience the world?

Likewise why don't parents put their kids on a depro injection when they develop an interest in boys (and if there was something similar for boys fairs fair)

An injection every 3 months the parent could enforce would surely eliminate most pregnancies? when teengers are least able to handle the responsibility but must active due to hormones?

Yes I do know about stds so get the condoms yourself and get them to the kids themselves and if not carrying if starte dating ground them (good lesson that)

Likewise teach streetwiseness etc

Ie instead of wrapping up in cotton wool hiding the world from them teach them how to handle it and actively deal with things?

Why is there a problem with drugs to prevent unwanted reproduction till in your twenties, in a stable relationship and want kids?

Can someone explain why they consider it a human rights issue when at the same time they would be upset if the kid got pregant and the kids life would be ruined... I dont get that...

Why is unwanted pregnancy see see the same way as

Bubonic plaugue
Turberculousis
Measals
Rubella
Polio
Rabbies

Is it a human rights issue to innoculate against rapies and paralying polio?

So why treat unplanned pregnancy any differents?

Do you want 14 -17 year olds getting pregnant or not?

Especailly if thats the last theing they would want...

The injection would be the most effective way to prevent it...

ie it cant slip off or burst, you can't mess it up, you can't forget it as you slept in.

The only exception should be if you react badly to it then the next most effective method.

It's not as simple as teaching a kid karate will solve all his bullying problems. What if the kid is twice his size? What if the other person has a gun? What if it's in school and he faces automatic suspension if he hits another student for any reason? Violence isn't the answer. People aren't animals. Bullying is so harmful because of the emotional harm it does to kids. Depo is also not the answer to the worry of teens and sexuality. Half the worry isn't just the unwanted pregnancy but the AIDS, hepatitis, etc. Plus you don't need a 15 year old girl learning that casual sex is a great fun activity to do with strangers... this is like condoning her to become a prostitute or a **** who does it for attention. The damage it does to a young girl emotionally & physically could be immense. Sex is not a game or a toy. Depo is also not for everyone and not without side effects. It can result is major depression and/or weight gain for some people. I tried it and it made me VERY sick for months. It took probably 6 months for the specialists to figure out why I was so sick. And because depo shots take 3+ months to wear off, I had to suffer through more months of it with nothing I could do. I would never force a teen to take it! Why not teach them self confidence, people skills, responsibility, long-term planning, values/morals, and just generally being a good person? That's worth so much more than a karate class and a condom.

self defence is all well and good but not at age 4 they wouldn't understand the discipline they would just try it out on everyone they came in contact with as for the jab children have the right to make choices and with choices come mistakes if you jab them up they will be at it like rabbits as there will be no danger they need to be taught how to way up the pros and cons for themselves
i personally believe you should teach a child the tools for life but ultimately they will use them as they see fit its part of the learning process we can only do our best and then set them free and just be there to pick up the pieces if and when the time arrises

You should teach self defence all other plans to your kids from 4 onwards. You will get the answer your self.

i agree with teaching them self defence (i'm planning on sending my 2 boys 4 it when they r older). but i dont agree that parents should give their children drugs 2 stop them reproducing, condoms yes but drugs? and maybe much better sex education and from an earlier age (i had first "talk" at 10 in primary/junior school).

most parents don't really wanna admit their child might be sexually active, and try to scare them out of sex completely. Even though that barely works, alot do that. Mine definitly did that! Of course I didn't listen, but luckily i had a head on my shoulders and didn't sleep with anyone til i was a year into the relationship and used protection!
