Usually 40mph. They do it on 60 limits then when they get into a 30 they stay at 40?

Makes me mad!

Richie - I know because I slow down to 30 and they speed off in front of me!

It's a recognized type of driver - what we call an SSD (single speed driver) and you're right about them driving at 40mph, this is the most common speed for an SSD.

Might seem strange but it's an established fact. I would tell you which drivers are most likely to fall into this classification but you'd accuse me of being ageist and sexist.

all the time, p i s s e s me off too, they don't do the speed limit when they can, but speed in built up areas.

happens all the time when i go to my sisters, 40 on the 60 road, and 40 in the 30 limit too, worse tho is the ones that do slower in the 60 than they do in the 30

Nah, it ussually doesn't bother me. 30's are ussually well patroled speeding in a 30 is a "no no." Being slow in a 60 I ussually just pass. Speed changers are a different story. Like when you're cruising down the road with your cruise control on and pass someone. Then they pass you back and you catch up with them again! Sometime they look at you like you're crazy if you pass them again, but you have cruise on!

Yeah, I used to dream that someday I would invent a device which would mount on the hood of my car and I would be able to push a little button when I had one of those "Drivers" in front of me. The car and driver would be shrunk to the size of a Match book car and I would roll right over the problem. The car and driver would eventually return to there normal size...

perhaps the driver is a doctor on an emergency call! (in England it is better for the doctor to be late, Rather than work for a living! or maybe it is just some old geyser who cant see in front of him.
I just imagine its an old twit with piles and wait for the gap!

I try not too, but if I do I get really close and then slow down and then really close and slow down and then really close and slow down and then really close and slow down it will either piss the hell out of them or make them pull over so you can pass.

Then you can slow right down in front of them

LOL
