Rappers Delite by the Sugar Hill Gang was the first rap song/artist I had ever heard.
I still love that song!
BTW. Blondie did Rapture in 1980. Rappers Delite came out in 1979.
I don't know what DJ Jocko was doing, but Rappin' started in New York, in the hood.
