i think the choice is personal. however there is a history of preference for a "fair" partner and this is apparently due to an aparent notion of healthiness and high social status associated with fair skin.
Beats me too....some things are strange arent they?

It's a matter of preference. I do not believe that all races want to date "whites" - I think people of all races want to date other people of different races - in the end we all bleed red so what's the difference what the outside color is.

My opinion...most people date outside of their race because they identify better with the race they've chosen to be with. There are several other, more shallow reason like a woman may think a man has more money or their intimacy level will be more compatible. Sometimes there is just an attraction to the differences; skin, hair, eyes, culture...I myself have never dated outside of my race but my friends who have had these reasons.

Im white and I am personally attracted to Ltino men, but I like white guys too, it is not about what race u are it is the person inside silly!

Like others have mentioned, it is a matter of preference. I have dated people of many races and backgrounds, including my own. It ultimately should come down to if you are happy about the relationship created. Race should not be a factor...Personally I like my men "seasoned."

I grew up in a country loaded with "whites"....I can't say I wanted to date any of them. I did though for observational purposes, but wasn't impressed. I dated someone from my race and got hooked. Married to him for 11 years now.

Generalizations..... I have every race in my family..... I have even dated a couple of white guys..........hated it! To each his or her own! This world is made up of all races.... some people want to sample all of them..... better yet, some whites... do not realize that they in fact have some black in them!

If you grew up in the ghetto with nothing but gold toothed ebnoic speaking woman with a baby when there fifteen and made it to the N.B.A. you would want a white woman too. Now you got money and can afford a white woman.

i prefer to date my own race. as far as dating outside my race... well i have dated several races including whites and let me tell you outside of cultural differences depending on community, family, socioeconomic status, career, religion, and upbringing we are really all very similar. skin color is not a good indicator for choosing a mate. but i guess everyone has their own reasons.
