or heard someone say targey instead of target it's mostly black folk i've heard saying this wich doesn't surprise me but it is still funny as hell don't you think

Yes, I have heard it many times. Sometimes I just want to scream, IT"S WAL MART!! Most of the time I just snicker under my breath. I have to admit though, it has been mostly white southerners. By the way, I am southern, haha, teehee.

I'm glad you brought that up. Yes I have heard people call it walmark and I've even heard malmark. It's always the people who shop there that say it.

I think it's funny as hell you said "malmart" instead of Wal-Mart.

I pronounce Target as "tar-jhay". Just a thing, no big deal. And BTW, I'm not black.

thats a southern thing i think. My mother in law is from the south and thats how she pronounces it.. Walmark..
We just say walmart or wally world..

My grandparents were from the north and they called it Walmarts or Kmarts. They also called Montgomery Wards, Moogey Wards. I call it Hell.

My mother-in-law is white, from North Georgia, and she insists on saying "Wal-mark." Phlegm" is "fleem", a calzone rhymes with "Calgon", and the children's decongestant PediaCare is pronounced "piddy-a-keer". A rottweiler is a "rockwaller". She drives me NUTS!
