You hate your loved one after you leave them, because it kills you to know you will never be able to be with them, so you hate them for not loving you in return.

I don't know about your 2nd question.

The thing about love and hate is that they are way too opposite for anyone to just turn to it. In other words, if for some reason love turned into hatred, that so-called love wasn't true to begin with. Another thing is that love and hate are extremes but no one can say that someone can't love one another or someone can't hate one another. It all has to do with choice. If someone is on one side of a bridge, it's up to that person to cross it. With that said "by choice" we can allow ourselves to go from loving one another to hating one another or we can go from hating one another to loving one another. It takes different processes to make that decision. Which side are you on?

Usually to do with drink: read on:

Love and Porter.

I wish, I wish, I wish in vain,
I wish I was a youth again,
But a youth again, I may never be,
'Till apples grow on ivy trees.

I left me father, I left me mother,
I left me brothers and me sisters too,
I left me home and me kind relations,
I left them all for to follow you.

For love is teasing, first warm then freezing,
And Love is a treasure when first got new,
But as Love grows older, love grows colder,
And it fades away like the morning dew.

For Love and Porter, makes young men older,
And Love and Whiskey, makes them old and grey,
So what cannot be cured love, must be endured love,
So now I am off to Americay.....................

I think it can work both ways. The two are closely linked in terms of the power of our emotions.
