Because most preacher's children are not allowed to do 1/2 of the stuff that "normal" children are allowed to do. Finally one day they just have had enough and start doing their own thing.

I was.
When I was a little kid, it didn't matter because it was fun going to church all the time. But as I grew older, I wanted to do things the other girls my age did, like wear pants, jewelry and makeup.
I once wore a pair of pants to school, my younger sister told on me and my mother beat the crap out of me! Deuteronomy 22:5 says a woman shall not wear that which pertaineth to a man. My pastor took that LITERALLY!
Anyway, when I started working, I bought my own pants, jewelry and makeup.
I rarely attend church now. I sometimes feel organized religion is a joke!

No, I'm not a preachers kid.
But you describe some of my past gf's really really well.
I believe that they are finally tired of having to do all the personal changing while others shout out commands. Amen?

I think what you are looking for are "reasons" why they are rebellious, not "advice".
