We met here long ago on answers. Became best friends. He lives in another country. We will probably never meet. But i feel sick in my stomach like it's real love. We are not kids. I would never meet him in a place alone if we could meet.

It seems pretty hopeless to fall in love with a man u will never meet. I think you should try to find someone you can really meet. But then anything is possible. I met a man from Italy and we talked for 3 years before we met. But we're just friends. But if its looking like he'll never come to america and you never going there, then more on.

I personally would say... no. Sure you'll learn all of these things about this person and he will seem "perfect." Why? because you won't see any of his faults. You're relationship is in a bubble called the internet. You're taking out all of the factors of personal interaction between each other... interaction between him and your friends/family... bad habits, and incompatible behavior. I think upon meeting things will be fine at first. However, as time goes on all of these unknowns will arrise and it will not work out.
Yes, it's possible to fall in love over the net, but I don't think it has a high percentage of likelihood.

I met my husband on here,it has been the best thing that has ever happen to meet,i must thank yahoo for making it possible.I have met a yecky person or two also,,so they are not all good nor are they all bad.Good Luck to you and I hope you do get to meet your friend someday.

You can find anything online but Best Friends and Loves are something that you discover in person. Disentary can make your stomach sick but it doesn't mean you're in love. The fact that you're asking this here means you're not in love, if you were you wouldn't doubt it, but there is potential there certainly. Be realistic and objective about your interactions online.

but you need to b carfull as many people can lie on the web
if you every considered meeting someone you should have at least 4 people with you and meet in a puplic place

I have a friend who meet his wife, of almost 5 years, on the net. They're still in love and loving it ... own a house and have a baby on the way

i met my best friend and the love of my life on the internet. but in your sitiuation its way different because you live in different countries. i think if he feels the same way about you that you should go meet him. i hope you guys work it out and can be together.

I married my best friend... and I met him online :-)
We lived far and away (in different countries), we didn't even speak the same language! He visited me once and then continue coming to see me every week! We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary :-)
