I think that you should just shut the **** up! I am very offended by this! I am a strong believer in freedom of speech, but you have crossed a line. Instead of insulting those brainwashed ignoramus' maybe you should be thanking them for doing what you are to much of a coward to do! My husband is in the military, currently in Iraq and let me tell you, his life is his own! He is not some mindless patriot, he went for the opportunities it could present in his future!

Yeah I gotta agree for a Level 3 you suck *** at asking questions.
For what it's worth I'm a conservative and I firmly beleive that the Military brainwashes it's people. The tactics the military endorses drill sargeants to use in boot camp is eeilly simular to the tactics cults use to break down individuality and encourage dependance on an authority system. I don't know who stole the ideas from who but it's rediculess to think that everyone in the army is free to make decisions, that would be the death of our soldiers. my friends that have joined the military are changed men, nearly unrecognizable from the people they once were. I cannot say if this is the effect of what they were programmed to do or what they were forced to do in the gulf but they are less human and the army or in one case Marine core is a factor is every decision of their life.
I thank God we have soldiers to protect us but I'd hate to live in a country full of them.

I have nothing but respect and love for the men and women serving in the military. That is why I dont want them risking their lives for an unjust cause. We had no reason to go to Iraq, there were no WMDs, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Why should our soldiers be dying for that?

I currently serve in the military and you are free to believe what you like. My life is very much my own, I make the decision to be in the military no one has made it for me. I currently have over 14 years of service, protecting people's rights, like judging me an idiot because of my service. So you are welcome for the fact that you can hurl your insults without reprisal from the gov't. God Bless the men and women who have served before me and will serve after.

I don't think most Dems see it that way. They see joining the military as an honorable profession. They are just very upset at what these young men and women are being ordered to do.

unfortunately. democrats often place the "bulls-eye' squarely on the backs of our valiant troops...ie kennedy...murtha....clinton decapitated the military...he hated the military...being a draft dodger...as he was...i can understand that of him.....our brave troops die to give democrats the right to hate them... go figure!!
