No an 02 sensor should not make your car not shift but a bad speed sensor either the input or output speed sensor will definitely cause a shift problem and turn on your 'Check Engine' light.

If your car is not shifting gears properly I doubt that has anything to do with the O2 sensor.
You can check the transmission oil to be certain it is full.
A bad O2 sensor should make a light come on the dash panel.

well if there will be a problem with o2 sensor the check engine will come on. check the oil of the trans or the valve body, and speed sensor.

Do you mean change out of a gear ? an 02 sensor can not do that.

more than likely its a tcm (trans control module)common on em i just replaced the one in my 99 either that or a shift selinoid or tranny is going motors are the same too

i don't know what youre talking about, but they are interchangible between cars, and i also know that certain aftermarkets will make ure check engine light turn on. add more info to ure question, ive never heard that term before.

is not your o2,its your trans!!! sebrings have horrible transmissions!!!
