to guys in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Do they not workout or lift weights, I mean these guys all seem to have skinny or not toned arms, especially the euros, what gives?

NHL players are more about conditioning and speed than building overwhelmingly gigantic muscles. Each player needs to be able to SPRINT up and down the ice. There are no offense linemen in hockey.

NFL: offensive line-men, they look toned to you?
MLB: Quite comparable to NHL players as far as size goes...
NHL players, take a look at their legs! Not to mention, their endurance and stamina is much more important than bulk.

Have you actually seen hockey players with their shirts off? Hockey players less toned than MLBers like those roly poly David Wells types? Less toned than 300-lb. bellies hanging out NFL linemen?
Opticians are in the phone book as you really need your eyes checked.

i've seen pleanty of NHl stars working out. I saw a video that showed them going to some gym in california during the summer

It's the gear. Believe me, those guys are as toned and cut as any other athlete with the amount of intense cardio they do during games.

I take it you have never seen Chris Chelios, Rob Blake or Rod Brind'amour , to name a few, without a shirt on or you would not be asking this question!

offence does not need superior upper body strength but they have strong calfs
defenceman have very strong upper and lower bodies
goalies obviously do not need anything but reflex
