In Copenhagen the nightlife takes off late, but once started is near non-stop. At most venues nothing really gets going until after midnight. However, the warm-up starts earlier in the evening at the countless cafés and bars in the city centre and districts of Nørrebro, Vesterbro and Ãsterbro. Later on the scene shifts to the discos, live-music venues and clubs. The underground scene and club culture is best sampled in and around the Nørrebro district, Copenhagen’s bubbling, multiethnic ‘melting pot’.
Music & Night life in Ã
rhus
Ã
rhus is famous well beyond Denmark’s borders for its happening music scene. Some of the biggest names on the Danish music scene started out here, and Ã
rhus is still a hothouse for up-and-coming bands. Not surprisingly therefore, there are live gigs playing every evening at the city’s many venues. Enjoy a cappuccino, brandy or just the atmosphere in ”the Heart of the City”: the Latin Quarter. Or sample the city’s speciality tipple known as “Ã
rhus sættet”: A beer from the city’s own brewery - Ceres – chased down with a genuine Arnbitter.

I stayed in a cottage on the West coast Hvide Sande, near Esbjerg one summer. It was in the sand dunes very pleasant long evenings massive long beach great for running and lots of amber everywhere.
Booked it on the Internet, it was a lot cheaper after the end of the Danish school holidays which is before the British school holidays end by a week or so
